Michael Williams serves as a licensed real estate salesperson at Helmsley Spear with a focus on retail. Prior to joining Helmsley Spear, Mr. Williams was an real estate agent at Halstead Management. Mr. Williams has had an illustrious 25-year career in the real estate industry, first as a veteran real estate mortgage banker in the residential, commercial and affordable housing industry with several banks including Apple Bank, Roosevelt Savings Bank, Roslyn Savings and New York Community Bank. He excelled in his capacity of finding the right financial product for his varied clients. His customer service and communication skills led to many long-term client relationships, which is a testimony to his perseverance and ability.
Mr. Williams also served in executive positions for various development and construction companies thereby giving him firsthand experience and knowledge to help the savvy investor find the perfect location to acquire and to eventually yield the return on investment that makes success in this industry. His experiences included working with new market tax credit development in Bridgeport, Connecticut and as a subcontractor to Turner Construction with the new Yankee Stadium.
Today, Mr. Williams is one of the premier retail, commercial, and investment sales agents specializing on the Harlem and Upper Manhattan markets. His clients include those looking to lease restaurants, retail stores, and other businesses. Mr. Williams also excels in working with owners and landlords that wish to find the best tenants for their properties, and most importantly, ones who will be successful in those spaces.
Mr. Williams was raised in Long Island and earned his Bachelor of Arts from Stony Brook University. He currently lives in the Mount Morris Park district of Harlem.
